A day of round table conversations, providing opportunities for attendees, particularly local residents, to have their voices heard alongside invited speakers.
Over the course of the day we will discuss who we were (our textile industry and cultural heritage), where we are now and what we may yet become. Led by Dr Stephen Pritchard who researches and practises activist art projects in community settings in order to create spaces for community empowerment and Jamie Holman artist in residence at the British Textile Biennial.
There will be advisors on hand to provide information on local training and further community engagement and education opportunities.
