Crafts Council Exhibition: Cotton: labour, land and body

Opening at Crafts Council Gallery on 21 September, Cotton: labour, land and body will take visitors on an expedition across time, geographies and cultures, exploring how cotton has woven – and continues to weave – Britain and South Asia together.

Discover textiles, films and works on paper by artists Raise Kabir, Brigid McLeer, Bharti Parmar and Reetu Sattar.

Resistances by Raisa Kabir is an outcome of the Art in Manufacturing Residency Programme, Curated by The National Festival of Making and co-commissioned by British Textile Biennial.

Work by Bharti Parmar, Brigid McLeer and Reetu Sattar commissioned by British Textile Biennial 2021.
