Pendle Social Cinema – Mini Film Festival

For the first time, BTB have partnered with Pendle Social Cinema for a miniature film festival. See one, two or three documentaries and join the discussion around fast fashion and sustainable textiles.

The Nettle Dress [78 minutes] – Textile artist Allan Brown spends seven years making a dress by hand just from the fibre of locally foraged stinging nettles.

True Cost [92 minutes] – The True Cost is a documentary that asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing?

Fashion Reimagined [100 minutes] – Trailblazing fashion designer Amy Powney is on a mission to create a sustainable collection from field to finished garment and transform the way we engage with fashion.

Alongside each screening, Pendle Social Cinema will host Talkaoke, a pop-up talk show where anyone can sit and air their views around the table of chat, coming and going as they please. It’s a brilliant way to explore what people are thinking and discover or even generate new ideas.

Food will be available from Old Fashioned Catering as part of your ticket donation.

Full information on tickets and FAQ’s available at the eventbrite link.
