Located just outside Blackburn town centre, the Friends Meeting House offers a calm, welcoming space suitable for meetings, workshops, community groups, and small events.
The Quaker presence in Blackburn dates back to the 17th century, shortly after the founding of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the mid-1600s. Local Quakers met in homes and rented spaces before establishing more permanent meeting places over the years.
The current Blackburn Quaker Meeting House was built in the 1960s to serve the needs of the local Quaker community. Designed with simplicity and function in mind, the building reflects traditional Quaker values such as peace, equality, and community.
For BTB25 this is a workshop venue, so please see our What’s On page for specific dates and times where workshops are taking place at this venue.
