Support the British Textile Biennial

Since 2017 the British Textile Biennial has provided powerful and often transformative experiences through art and heritage experiences. Our programme provides different viewpoints from artists around the world, revealing complex and often previously untold stories, connecting their experiences with all our visitors and participants.

We strongly believe that people should have access to art and creativity regardless of their background.

As a charity, the Biennial relies on the generosity of its supporters to keep this important cultural event thriving.  We need to keep our festival free and accessible to all and we need your help to deliver our learning and community activities and commissions in the places built by the textile industry in Lancashire.

How you can support us:

Donate

Your donation, no matter the size, makes a significant impact. Help us continue to inspire and educate through our public programs and exhibitions.

£5  helps us buy materials for a free kids workshop activity

£50 helps pay for access costs to allow people with disabilities to attend our events

£500 pays for a bus to bring a local school on an educational visit

£5000 pays for an artist to work with a local community to tell their textile heritage stories

Anything you can give is gratefully received and will be acknowledged on our donors page, should you wish it to be.

If you’re passionate about textiles, creativity, and the power of art to inspire and connect people, you can help us in several ways. Your support will enable us to:

  • Continue hosting cutting-edge contemporary art exhibitions and installations that explore both traditional craftsmanship and innovative practices.
  • Expand our education, volunteer and engagement programmes, giving people of all ages the opportunity to participate.
  • Maintain and develop our inclusive community events, workshops, and discussions that bring together diverse voices from across the textile and arts sectors.
  • Strengthen our platform for underrepresented artists, amplifying voices and stories that might otherwise go unheard.
  • Your contribution helps us celebrate the artistry, culture, and history of textiles, while making sure that the Biennial remains a welcoming and accessible space for all.
