Emelia Hewitt undertook a summer residency at the Whitaker to develop work within her photographic and image making practice, inspired by the natural forms in the beautiful grounds of the museum, using natural dyes with Anthotype printing methods in an innovative process that aimed to explore natural mixtures in developing while limiting the use of photographic chemicals.

She is one of three early career artists from Venture Arts, Manchester who developed new work in response to BTB25 themes, presented across three different venues.
