Future Fashion Landscapes
Future Fashion Landscapes showcases the outcomes of a 12-month collaboration between Centre for Sustainable Fashion, University of the Arts London and the South East England and South West England Fibresheds, focusing on fibre production and biodiversity enhancement potential of farms adopting regenerative principles, while operating landscape-specific grazing and restoration programmes with native and rare breed sheep.
The exhibition brings together the results of collaborations between farmers and designers, as well as student projects, exploring how we can imagine a shift from a mindset in which landscapes are being mined and exploited to satisfy the whims of fashion, to a mindset that allows our local landscapes to inform and inspire what we design and wear.
Future Fashion Landscapes was co-funded by Farming the Future and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), part of UK Research and Innovation.
