Artist Ivan Forde, internationally recognized for his unique approach to the cyanotype process on an epic scale, has created new work using pioneering fabric from Bionic Yarn. Established in New York City, Bionic Yarn is an innovative textile company that transforms plastic waste from the city and sea into durable hybrid textiles. Having partnered with numerous luxury brands including Moncler and Chanel while counting global superstar Pharrell Williams as an ambassador, Bionic Yarn invited Forde to collaborate for a presentation at the New York Cotton Exchange in 2023.

For BTB25 Forde will show a new installation in the Billiard Room at Accrington’s Haworth Art Gallery, in dialogue with the gallery’s magnificent collection of Tiffany glass.
