Turton Tower, located in Chapeltown near Blackburn, Lancashire, is a Grade I listed manor house with a rich history spanning over 600 years.
Originally built as a stone pele tower in the early 15th century, it underwent significant expansions in the 16th and 19th centuries, blending medieval, Tudor, and Victorian architectural styles.
The tower has served various roles, including as a family home, a council chamber, and a museum. Today, it is owned by Blackburn with Darwen Council and offers visitors a glimpse into its storied past through guided tours and educational programs.

Wheelchair users can access the ground floor of the tower, but upper levels are not accessible. Disabled access toilets are available outside in the grounds. Visitors are encouraged to contact the tower in advance to ensure a smooth visit.
